High Quality Coagulants
ADEGA coagulants are polymerized inorganic coagulants featuring high-quality-high concentration solutions of Poly Aluminum Chloride (PAC) in a range of basicity to fit the appropriate situation. Our PAC line includes Aluminum Chlorohydrate (ACH); a special type of PAC that contains 50 % active chemical and features a basicity of 83 %. This high basicity coagulant enables the treatment process operator to reduce the amount of other chemicals (e.g., sodium hydroxide) which are often used to raise the pH of the process water to aid precipitation.
Another feature of our PAC line is superior polymer distribution which directly affects the performance of PAC products and differentiates ADEGA chemicals from other PAC products of similar concentration. ADEGA’s polymerized PAC products require minimal alkalinity to precipitate floc, using higher relative charge neutralization as a primary reactive mechanism; this is particularly effective under situations of high contaminant loading. While most inorganic coagulants, and even other PAC products, produce voluminous & fragile floc particles characterized by high solids carryover; ADEGA’s PAC produces a very tight, dense floc that results in superior settling characteristics. Compared to other Aluminum and Ferric inorganic coagulants, use of ADEGA’s PACs can actually reduce sludge volumes by as much as 60 to 80 %. Sludge volumes are reduced because less dosage is typically required, the floc created is tighter (containing less water), and less pH adjustment is required (i.e., less hydroxide is incorporated) in the precipitation process.
Cationic & Anionic Dry Powder Polymers
ADEGA dry polymers are highly concentrated polymers (>99 % active) that can be easily mixed with water on site to form polymer solutions for feed into treatment process vessels. These dry polymers feature approximately 2.5 to 3.5 times the chemical efficacy when compared to liquid polymers on a pound-for-pound basis. Additionally, the dry polymers (delivered in 55-pound bags) require significantly less expense to transport, and take up less on-site storage space than liquid polymers. The bags of dry polymer are also more conveniently and easily handled on site; virtually eliminating the requirement for a fork lift or other lifting device that would are typically required to handle 55-gallon drums, or totes of product. ADEGA’s dry polymer products also feature a long-lasting shelf life as compared to their liquid counterpart, and are able to withstand a much greater range of temperature during storage without effectiveness breakdown.
Cationic & Anionic Liquid Polymers
ADEGA offers high quality liquid polymers with superior performance characteristics when compared to other liquid polymer products. Both cationic and anionic liquid polymer products are offered at economically advantageous pricings.
